By the way! Many of my prints will be displayed in a show at the Lotus Gallery in Plymouth in August, I'll get back to you with the exact dates!
I have been going through a LOT of transition lately, the other day I picked up Michael O'Brien's Strangers and Sojourners and fell in love with it. The internal dialogue of the main female character is so amazing. What the novel has to offer in terms of understanding life, loneliness and masculinity and femininity is great. I would highly recommend it.

I've also been reading Michael O'Briens thoughts and interviews on the arts and culture. He has dedicated his work to Christ and he and his family have accepted what comes along with trying to be a Christian artist. His words ring true to me and I would encourage artists to read his interviews, especially his letter to artists.

Silkscreening

I have begun experimenting in silkscreening with the intention of creating urban graphic clothes. These images are from a solo show at Madonna University in Michigan.

I have been listening to Christian rap and appreciate the way the lyrics cut right to the chase. It is personally challenging and direct, I'm trying to use this same technique in designing graphic tee's and hoodies. I haven't decided how long I will pursue this medium, I miss mixed media painting, we'll see.

Introduction

So, this Blog is going to serve as a way for friends and family to follow my progression in terms of my art. I will include portfolio photos but also ongoing sketches and thoughts that follow my current work. I am a Christian artist with a particuliar interest in evangelization through the visual arts. I have a BA in Fine Arts and intend on pursuing graduate studies for an MFA to teach at the university level. This is where God is leading me at this moment I seek to stay close to Him to follow His calling wherever He takes me. I hope you enjoy!
